FLINT Microfest

Documentation of a two day performance art festival.

FLINT took place in Salisbury and Corsham, UK on the 17th and 18th November 2012.

The brief was to capture each individual performance as well as the audience and atmosphere during the festival.

The programme of national and internationally renowned artists was extensive and the days were long but exhilarating as we worked in tandem to cover all angles and moments throughout the day.

The Parlour Showrooms

We were very pleased to work with The Showroom Projects and document The LightBox Series: Wednesday Windows.

A series of live performance and artists’ film in the window of The Parlour Showrooms, Park Street, Bristol.

These were made possible with the support of Spoonfed and The Collect.

Creative Glass Guild Bristol

Videography of a talk by glass maker Chris Ainslie at Creative Glass Guild Bristol.

We were excited to be asked by Creative Glass Guild to record the lecture given by Chris Ainslie, the eminent glass engraver who has exhibited annually with the Guild of Glass Engravers both at national and branch levels. He has also exhibited throughout the UK and Europe.

Here he talks about his background and training including his time as a monk at Buckfast Abbey, his techniques and inspirations for his work.

Watch the edited version to see some of the highlights of his talk, including examples of his work.

Sylvia Rimat

We were delighted to be asked by Sylvia to document her performance as part of the In Between Time international performance festival that took place in Bristol in February 2013.

‘If you decide to stay’ is a playful and quirky live performance looking at decision-making through the neurons involved in the process, the difficulty we have in knowing what we really want and the complexity of the worlds around and within us. Using the image of a meadow and the stars above, performance maker Sylvia Rimat looks at the decisions that have shaped this very performance, retraces a lifetime of decision-making and celebrates the choice that each audience member made to join her.

Commissioned and produced by In Between Time for IBT13 International Festival of Performance. Developed at The Basement through East by South East, and at Residence. Supported by Arts Council England, Bristol Old Vic Ferment and ICIA Bath.
